Founded in 1869 by John Smith due to its proximity to the Craggan burn and close to rail infrastructure. John Smith was a very d distiller having worked for The Macallan, The Glenlivet, Glenfarclas and Wishaw Distilleries The local railway is no longer in use and it is now a fine place to take a bottle of Cragganmore and walk though the beautiful local forests. Cragganmore is owned by spirits powerhouse Diageo. This Cragganmore was initially matured in ex-Bourbon American oak casks followed by a finish in ex-Port pipes. It was bottled in 2019 at 40% ABV. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Honey sweetness with a rich malty smoky aroma. Taste: Tropical fruits and malted barley, creamy earthy smoke, balanced oak and vanilla.
