Part of the Connoisseurs Choice collection from Gordon & MacPhail, this Strathmill single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 2002 and matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels. This whisky has a short to medium finish with lingering spice. Official Tasting Notes Aroma with water: Sweet vanilla, lime cordial, and toasted malt notes combine with hints of ginger and beeswax polish aromas. Taste without water: Sweet and creamy initially followed by white pepper on the tongue. Apricot and ginger flavours are complemented by hints of lime. Charred oak develops on the finish. Aroma with water: Aromatic with sweet pear crumble aromas, ripe banana, and gooseberry. A citrus edge develops reminiscent of lemon sherbet sweets. Taste with water: Peppery followed by red apple, banana, and grapefruit complemented by charred oak flavours. A hint of peppermint is present on the finish.. For adults of legal drinking age.
