The limited edition John Walker & Sons King George V Lunar New Year Limited Edition uses the rarest and oldest casks available including single malt from Port Ellen Distillery, a now closed or ‘silent’ distillery. The collar of the bottle and the presentation box has a modern take on traditional Chinese patterns and design, inspired by Asian couture. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Sweet malted barley notes lead to smoky Port Ellen aromas, orange citrus and a combination of raisins, sultanas, figs and cinnamon make this a wonderful rich and smoky nose to enjoy. Palate: Dried dark fruits of fig, raisin and plum, orchard fruits of apple and pear, dark chocolate and toffee sweetness gives way to roasted nuts and balanced vanilla.
